PBTC

PBTC has low content of phosphorus. Its structural property of both phosphonic acid and carboxylic acid enables PBTC to have excellent scale inhibition and corrosion inhibition performance, and to be better than the commonly used organic phosphonic acid, especially at high temperature condition.

PBTC is widely used in industry as a sequestering agent and calcium carbonate scale inhibitor. In systems that utilize oxidizing microbiocides, such as chlorine and bromine, PBTC exhibits superior stability under oxidizing conditions compared to other organophosphonate compounds.
